I am an English Canadian native speaker who also speaks German and Chinese (Cantonese). My 2 children are both bilingual in English and German.

I am a competent, qualified teacher of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and English for Young Learners (TEYL), both awarded a grade Level A. Additionally I am a Certified General Accountant of Canada (CGA) and a member of the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL). As a reader of international magazines, I continually keep up-to-date with current events.

I am the founder of 'Joy with English' and I am actively involved in all aspects of this language school. I have many years of experience in helping children and adults of all ages learning English in Germany using different teaching methodology. One of my strongest skills is the expertise to teach primary school children English using an enjoyable atmosphere and the ability to understand the needs of older school children in managing English oral and written exams and to obtain good results.

Adults benefit from my exposure to and knowledge of current issues as well as my competence and patience in teaching adults a new language.

Growing up in a multi-cultural society has also taught me to under- stand people from different background. My extensive business experiences in Canada working with companies and projects allow me to understand the usage of the English language in a globalized world.
